September 5, 2019 to September 8, 2019

Join us for a Yosemite challenge unlike any other, along a classic Yosemite wilderness route. Enjoy this two-night adventure with an experienced naturalist guide, who will share insider stories and tips for the trail. The trip kicks off with a Thursday-evening get-together at Tuolumne Meadows Campground, where you’ll review the trail, safety tips and Leave No Trace ethics. On Friday morning, ascend to the summit of Clouds Rest, where you can bask in the magnificent 360-degree view. After you descend, continue down to the John Muir Trail junction, and camp for two nights near Sunrise Creek. On Saturday, take advantage of the option to climb Half Dome and marvel at the Valley from far above, or choose to spend your day exploring the area and relaxing at camp. Sunday, hike out the same trail back to the Tioga Road. For both the Clouds Rest and Half Dome climbs, you’ll leave your backpack safely on the trailside or at camp, and hike up with only a daypack, leaving you free to focus on the experience without extra weight on your shoulders!

Throughout the weekend, your leader will share stories about the park’s fascinating history, wildlife, flora and geology, and you’ll have ample opportunities for fantastic photography.
